A Sprinkle Ice Cream Cake Smash!
I always love capturing memories for this precious family. I've welcomed each addition with open arms and I get so excited each time this mama calls me with an idea! We always have a great time. When this mama said Ice Cream & Sprinkles, my heart skipped a beat. A custom Cake Smash Session was in the making.
I got to work right away making 3D sprinkles and my diligent little crafters ( Noah & Andy ) made cones for the ice cream balloons! My baker made an incredible custom cake for this session that tops all the cakes they've made before this one!
Can we just take a moment to admire this majestic cake? It literally has everything that is good about the world..... Ice cream, waffle cone, sprinkles, buttercream icing, and a SUPER ADORABLE baby to eat it!
Anyhow, once we sat that bad boy down, Daniel went to town! I envied the level of cake-eating skills he possessed & dreamed of having a bite of my own. But my waistline scolded me and I snapped out of it.
The session consisted of about an hour of chasing this cute baby chub back onto the set and singing really loudly, haha! He loved the cake, which can really be a hit or miss with one year olds, surprisingly. * Insert shameless plug for an experienced photographer LOL * Overall, we all had a blast. I think I may have had even more fun than Daniel, if I'm being honest!
Usually, the most challenging part of a cake smash is getting the baby OUT of the bath tub. I wouldn't trade it for the world, though. Who doesn't love a baby in a bubble bath with cake all over his face?! I mean.....
