The high chair that changed my life

Once upon a time I decided to have my third child. Anyone who knows me knows there is an..... age gap. What was I thinking? I now have a 10 year old, an *almost* 8 year old & a 13 month old. For the most part, Facebook thinks I have my crap together & even though that would be nice, the truth is that I just do not have my crap together. With the birth of my third son, everything I had learned about parenting went right out the window! POOF! So long! See Ya! It was like.... starting all over again, y'all. Thankfully I was able to breastfeed, this go 'round, but I knew, early on, that I was going to have to find some kind of high chair.

I remembered my first son's high chair. It was big, plastic & clunky & took up what seemed like half of whatever room I had dragged it into. Then I remember my second son's high chair. It was much slimmer & folded up quite nicely. Alas, we live in a cramped apartment and I knew I needed something space-saving.

As I was scrolling through Facebook posts, I saw something that caught my eye. It was this adorable little travel high chair-thing. I snagged it up. I used it a few times and quickly realized that it wasn't really a good fit for my needs. It was just like a little strap that hooked to a chair and held my baby up, but I was never in a situation where the chairs were the right height (seriously, imagine a 6 month old sitting in a normal chair, pushed up to a normal table & that's what I got.... My baby was UNDER the table HAHA!). I'm sure it would work really well with a booster seat or in any other situation than what dumb old me tried. If you're curious, this is it *HERE*.

I knew I needed something better for my personal sanity and then, like a sack of rainbow colored unicorn sparkled bricks, it hit me! I was browsing the amazon app and, I swear it's like they can read my mind, it just popped up in my recommended section! This portable mini high chair. It's like a breath of fresh air-no- a newborn baby's FIRST BREATH! My baby loves it. I love it. It seriously rules! So, it folds and unfolds just like a fold-out camping chair and it has it's own tote bag that the table top fits into. It has been wonderful for trying to teach this baby to eat-on my life, this kid is going to breastfeed into high school.... kidding. I am KIDDING.

So, when it's not being used as a high chair, this thing works great as a baby-sized fold out chair, too. My son is so attached to it that we can't pack it up, anymore. It's just become part of the decor, which is fine because HELLO it's TINY! win-win. I think every mom, dad, grandparent, ever, should own one of these! And it's Prime, too, so it ships FAST. Going camping soon? Order one. Going to the beach soon? ORDER one. Not going anywhere at all? ORDER ONE OF THESE THINGS, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?!

Ps. having a seven year old assistant definitely helps get those smiles flowing, too! Andrew is such a great helper, so here's a shameless plug.
